Who we are
Saving Face Co (“Saving Face,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to oral cancer awareness and early detection. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you visit savingface.org, donate, shop, register for events, use the practice locator, sign up for our newsletter, or receive our emails.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, mailing and billing address, and the details you enter when you donate, set up a monthly gift, buy from our shop, fill out a form or survey, register for an event, list or look up a practice, or subscribe to our newsletter.
Payment information. Donations and purchases are processed by Stripe. Your full card number is sent directly to Stripe and is never stored on our website. We keep a record of the gift or order, such as amount, date, and the last four digits of the card.
Information collected automatically. When you visit this website or open our emails, we and our service providers record technical details such as pages viewed, the date and time, your browser and device type, your IP address, and the general network and location it belongs to.
How we use visit and email data
When you open our emails, click a link, or visit this website, our systems record technical details such as the page viewed, the time, your IP address, and the general network and location it belongs to. If you have given us your email address, for example by donating, registering, requesting information, or receiving our emails, we may connect this activity to your contact record so we can understand your interests and send more relevant information. We do not sell this information. To stop this, unsubscribe using the link in any email or contact us at info@savingface.org, and we will stop associating your activity with your record.
How we use information
To process donations, recurring gifts, and orders and send receipts; to fulfill and ship shop orders; to run events, surveys, and the practice locator; to send newsletters and updates about our mission, campaigns, and events; to respond to your questions; to operate, secure, and improve our website; and to meet our legal, tax, and nonprofit reporting obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade donor or supporter information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as payment processing (Stripe), shop fulfillment and shipping (Printify), email delivery, website hosting, forms, and analytics, and only so they can provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart and account working, to measure site traffic with Google Analytics, and to understand the performance of our Google and TikTok advertising. These providers may use cookies to show you relevant ads on other sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalization in your Google and TikTok account settings.
Email communications
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. We will still send transactional messages such as donation receipts and order confirmations.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure. We keep donation and order records as long as required for tax and financial reporting, and other information for as long as it is needed for the purposes above.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to stop sending you email, or to stop using your activity data, by emailing info@savingface.org. Customers can also update their details under My Account.
Children
Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
